1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using the Outta application ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Outta is a collaborative shopping list application that enables:
- Creating and managing household shopping lists
- Real-time collaboration with household members
- Smart recommendations based on purchase history
- Store preferences and custom aisle ordering
- Price tracking and budget awareness
- Analytics and shopping insights
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Outta. By using this Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.
4. Account Registration
To use Outta, you must:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Notify us immediately of unauthorized access
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
5. User Conduct
You agree NOT to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Upload malicious code or viruses
- Scrape, spider, or crawl the Service
- Reverse engineer or decompile the application
- Use the Service to spam or send unsolicited messages
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
6. Household Sharing
When you create or join a household:
- All household members can view and edit shared shopping lists
- You are responsible for who you invite to your household
- Household owners can remove members at any time
- You can leave a household at any time
- Exercise caution when sharing join codes publicly
7. Subscription and Payment
7.1 Free Tier
Basic features are available for free with limitations:
- Up to 5 household members
- Up to 3 auto-restock items
- Basic features only
7.2 Premium Subscription
Premium features require a paid subscription:
- Unlimited household members
- Unlimited auto-restock items
- Per-store aisle customization
- Price tracking graphs
- Advanced analytics
7.3 Payment Terms
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled
- You can cancel anytime via app settings
- Refunds are provided per platform policies (Apple App Store, Google Play)
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice
8. Intellectual Property
The Outta application, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
8.1 Your Content
You retain ownership of shopping list data you create. By using Outta, you grant us a license to:
- Store and process your data to provide the Service
- Use anonymized, aggregated data to improve the Service
- Back up your data for disaster recovery
9. Service Availability
Important: We provide Outta on an "AS IS" basis. We do not guarantee:
- Uninterrupted or error-free service
- Freedom from viruses or harmful components
- Accuracy or reliability of data
- That the Service will meet your requirements
10. Data Loss and Backups
While we implement backups and redundancy, you are responsible for maintaining your own backups of critical data. We are not liable for data loss.
11. Termination
11.1 By You
You may delete your account at any time through app settings.
11.2 By Us
We may suspend or terminate your account if you:
- Violate these Terms
- Engage in fraudulent activity
- Fail to pay subscription fees
- Use the Service in a way that harms us or other users
11.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
- Your access to the Service ends immediately
- Your data may be deleted after 90 days
- Subscription fees are non-refundable (except as required by law)
- These Terms survive termination where applicable
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months
- We are not responsible for third-party services (Firebase, Google Sign-In, etc.)
- We are not liable for data loss, business loss, or lost profits
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of third-party rights
- Your User Content
14. Disclaimers
- No Medical Advice: Outta is not a medical device or dietary recommendation tool
- No Financial Advice: Budget features are informational only
- Third-Party Stores: We are not affiliated with any grocery stores mentioned
- Price Accuracy: User-entered prices may be inaccurate or outdated
15. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via:
- Email notification
- In-app announcement
- Update to "Last Updated" date
Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of new Terms.
16. Modifications to Service
We reserve the right to:
- Modify or discontinue features
- Impose new limitations on free tier
- Change subscription pricing (with notice)
- Discontinue the Service entirely (with 90 days notice)
17. Third-Party Services
Outta integrates with third-party services (Firebase, Google). Your use of these services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.
18. Export Controls
You agree not to export, re-export, or transfer Outta to prohibited countries or individuals as specified by U.S. export control laws.
19. Dispute Resolution
19.1 Informal Resolution
Before filing a claim, contact us at support@outta.app to attempt resolution.
19.2 Arbitration
Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration rather than in court, except:
- Small claims court disputes
- Intellectual property disputes
- Emergency injunctive relief
19.3 Class Action Waiver
You agree to bring claims individually, not as part of a class action.
20. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [Your State/Country], without regard to conflict of law principles.
21. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found invalid, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
22. Entire Agreement
These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Outta.

These Terms are effective as of February 24, 2026 and supersede all prior versions.
